A MINISTRY OF THE LUTHERAN CHURCH-MISSOURI SYNOD (LC-MS)
Saturday, November 7, 2009
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For over 65 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.
Planning for the Mid-South District Convention in Hot Springs on June 4 - 6, 2010 continued with a meeting in Little Rock on August 22.
Committee chairmen reported on several ideas, activities, and projects. The logo Eternal Life † Spring Fed has been adopted and this theme will be apparent throughout the convention. Servant events, Ingatherings, a Prayer Walk on the Promenade in the National Park, and special entertainment are being organized.
Special music and worship services will enrich the lives of those who attend! The keynote address will be given by Mrs. Jan Brunette, a well known speaker and author. A dramatic portrayal of Katherine Luther, wife of Martin, will delight all who attend. There will be an opportunity to attend a musical drama under the stars about the life of Christ entitled The Witness on Saturday evening.
The Convention promises to be spiritually uplifting and exciting for everyone. Hot Springs offers many activities and sights to please the whole family. Please plan to attend.
